JK ACADEMY

 

The JK Academy serves as the Feikes Huis laboratory. Once every year, a group of young producers meet, joined by other more experienced professionals from the world of puppet theatre. The producers arrive at a number of short new plays by means of research on stage. These plays may provide points of departure for creating bigger productions in the future. Participating in the JK Academy occurs by invitation.

 

PRESENTATIONS JK ACADEMY 2010

Tue 29th and Wed 30th of June, 20h30

 

This year there are three projects in the JK academy. Two af them will take place between March and June 2010. On these evenings the 'students' will tell more about their projects and perform soem short scenes.

- Cristel Hakvoort, puppetmaker and puppeteer, was inspired Litlith@online, a play by Paul Pourveur. She will be working together with actor Sjors Stassen. Her project will be mentored by Theo Franzs, director and dramaturg at several companies like Het Muztheater, ZEP and Stuffed Puppet Theatre.

- Menno Stijntjes, actor and theatermaker, took as starting points 'Travel in space'. He was inspired by the songs and music of the Dutch singer Spinvis. He will be working with the experienced puppeteer and theatermaker Siem van Leeuwen.

During these evenings you also will be informed about the progress of the third project by Desiree Snackey, actress at Het Speeltheater and Urban Myth. She will tell more about her plans to start a project in a shoppingmall. She works with actor Maarten Smit and will be mentored by Elien van den Hoek, actress and director.
